It is possible to stay stylish while protecting the planet. Sustainable shopping tips and conscious consumption.

The textile industry is the second most polluting sector in the world. Cheap and low-quality clothes offered by fast fashion brands lead to tons of waste and carbon emissions. We now need to think about the damage we do to the world while updating our wardrobes.

The first rule of sustainable fashion is 'buy less and protect what you have'. Before buying a garment, ask yourself: 'Will I wear this at least 30 times?' If your answer is no, give up buying that piece.

It is also very important to read the fabric contents when shopping. Instead of petroleum-derived synthetic fabrics such as polyester, acrylic, and nylon, prefer natural fibers that are biodegradable such as organic cotton, linen, hemp, tencel, and bamboo.

Second-hand shopping and clothing swaps are also among the most enjoyable ways of sustainability. You can both find vintage and unique pieces and directly contribute to reducing textile waste.
