Color Analysis: Which Season Type Are You?
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Learn your seasonal color analysis and cut your wardrobe spending in half.
Color analysis is a stylistic system that determines which color tones best highlight your skin color, eye color, and hair color. Popularized in the 1980s by Carole Jackson's book 'Color Me Beautiful', this system is now applied by hundreds of professional color consultants.
4 basic season types: Spring (light, warm tone: luminous skin, green/blue eyes, honey-colored hair), Summer (light, cool tone: pink skin, gray-blue eyes, ashy brown hair), Autumn (dark, warm tone: olive or bronze skin, dark green/amber eyes, reddish hair), Winter (dark, cool tone: porcelain or very dark skin, dark brown/black eyes).
Simple home test: Hold a gold and a silver colored fabric next to your face. Whichever looks more natural and radiant shows your cool-warm direction. If gold looks better, you are Spring or Autumn type; if silver looks better, you are Summer or Winter type.
Wearing the right colors allows you to look better with less makeup. The wrong colors can make you look tired, sick, or older. That's why color analysis should be thought of as a wardrobe investment.
Finding your personal style is a process of discovery. By experimenting with different fabrics, colors, and cuts, you can determine the silhouette in which you feel most comfortable and confident.
Never underestimate the power of accessories. You can elevate even a basic jean-and-tee look with a chic belt, a quality bag, or elegant jewelry.
